Echo River

Last time I was in Echo River. 

It was warm and the water cool

I sat down and ate strawberries.

Oh, the city’s just for fools

I can’t wait for the weekend to come

This job is getting me down

I’ve been working here day after day

Quitting time and I’m leaving town. 

Echo  Echo  River  River    

I’m going down to Echo River. 

I’m going to borrow Steve’s old truck

I’ll take my sleeping bag with me

Stop thinking about making a buck

I don’t care how far I got to go

I don’t care how much it cost

I’ll drive all day and I’ll drive all night

Turn North on highway 40 I won’t get lost.
