brain turns itself off from self-criticism???
I was reading National Geographic May 2017, article by Claudia Kalb , about genius , page 44 ,
and found a statement by Charles Limb " It's almost as if the brain turned off it's own ability to criticize itself" .... referring to musicians improvising music.....Does that mean when the minds busy
at something constructive it's more difficult to be hard on one's self ???

How are you using music?
Music is a gift to people who use it in different ways. Songs are used in all walks of life ; weddings, funerals,parties,dancing,therapy,etc,etc, How are you using music? . There are creators of music and consumers of music. I do both.
If lyrics are anger in tone then usually the music is written as such. If the lyrics are sweet then generally the music is softer. If the writer is sad or blue
he can release that through music or listen to music that makes one cheerful.
I hear music in stores and malls and sometimes I don't want to hear it but it is forced upon us. Other times I'll hear some music and it will trigger positive emotions and I'm thankful.
